Magali

Parisian born and raised, Magali spend her childhood visiting art museums and exhibitions where she discovered her passion for the arts.

Magali attended Ensad (Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs) where she studied French and explored couture. After her graduation in 2002 and interning at several fashion-houses in paris, Magali decided to travel Asia where she fell in love with Indonesia and decided to move to Bali.

Magali’s time in Bali began in a tiny studio at home where in 2005 she designed and sewed her first capsule collection, inspired by her French savoir-faire and nomadic lifestyle. A year later, she h

had opened her first flagship store on the island.

Sustainability

At Magali Pascal, we believe in the importance of contributing and giving back to our local community. We have been designing and producing in Bali for over 15 years and have grown from just Magali herself to a team of more than 80, of which 90% are Balinese. We work with local independent artisans who are supported and their handicraft preserved.

With a 98% female team, the brans is designed and created by women for women.

We use high quality fabrics who are sourced locally as often as possible, and everything is produced in Indonesia. As we work towards zero waste in our production, we are constantly looking to use fabric off-cuts to create beautiful new designed, which is why you’ll often find repeated prints across collections.

Our headquarters and factory are both under one roof and have been ergonomically designed to help us improve our sustainable practices. We use natural light, recycle with Bali Eco Recycle, and we are in the process of eliminating single use plastic.
